The Congress is the flagship global event of the International Union for Agroforestry (IUAF), co-hosted with the Rwandan Government. Over five days, it facilitates knowledge exchange, capacity building, and policy dialogue through:

Plenary sessions featuring keynote speeches on agroforestry’s role in sustainable development.

Parallel scientific tracks and poster sessions structured around emerging and proven research.

Field visits to agroforestry-led projects in Kamonyi, Gicumbi, and Bugesera 

Exhibition village, showcasing technologies, products, and nature-based solutions.

Side events and networking workshops, led by research institutions, NGOs, government and industry participants.

WCA2025 in Kigali offers a powerful platform to elevate agroforestry’s impact—from household income to planetary health. Through rigorous science, immersive learning, and collaborative policymaking, it aims to deliver scalable, inclusive, and transformative land-use solutions.
